Outline:
In this project, Japanese Experts on disaster management will be invited to hold lectures in the seminars to disseminate proper knowledge of tsunami among people in Aceh, and to share with them the accumulation of Japan’s experiences of Tsunami and disaster prevention measures. The project is also to construct 85 poles in Banda Aceh city, and each height of the poles shows the height of the level of water as the tsunami at respective site to record the historical disaster properly for future ages. This project will provide disaster prevention education as well for the construction workers and residents in the area.

It is expected that with this project Aceh people will deepen their understanding on tsunami, and that they will be ready for proper behavior including evacuation, learning from the accumulation of experience of Japanese people.
