Outline:
The objective of the project is to improve the sanitary environment and water quality in Bali Island. The scope of the project consists of construction of the sewerage system, including wastewater treatment plant and sewer network consisting Booster pump stations and house connections in Denpasar, Sanur, and Kuta （Legian and Seminyak）districts. The construction of the wastewater treatment plant was completed in February 2007. JBIC also supported a newly-established O&M agency (Public Service Unit: BLU; established in January 2007) through its capacity enhancement and recommendations made on tariff setting and other matters for strengthening its financial management.
