Outline:
The objective of the project is to alleviate erosion and restore beaches by carrying out beach conservation measures in the three world-famous resorts of Kuta、Nusa Dua and Sanur in Bali. The project component also includes the conservation of the Hinduism temple Tanah Lot, a tourist destination well-known for the sight of spectacular sunset. Tanah Lot conservation work and Sanur and Nusa Dua beach conservation work were completed in February 2003 and October 2004 respectively. Kuta beach conservation work is due to be completed in December 2008.
