Key Points:
Meeting fast-growing power demand in South Sumatra

The objective of the project is to meet rapidly increasing power demand in Lampung Province, Sumatra Island, improve the stability of power supply and increase the efficiency of a power supply system in the southern Sumatra region that has been traditionally dependent on uneconomical power facilities, such as diesel power generators and small-scale gas turbines. The project consists of constructing a coal-fired base-load power plant (capacity: 200MW). The project is due to be completed in September 2008.
