    Developing six maritime education and training schools for educating qualified seafarers in Indonesia

Outline:
The objective of the project is to produce seafarers with international qualification and secure employment for Indonesian seafarers by offering maritime education and training in Indonesia that are in line with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers amended in 1995 (STCW 95). The project thus consists of improving educational facilities and installing equipment at six national maritime educational institutes (BP3IP, PLAP, BPLP Semarang, BPLP Makassar, BPLPD Barombong, and BPLPD Surabaya.). The project will be completed in 2009. Preferential Terms for Education has been applied to this project.
