    Strengthening power supply capacity in the Java-Bali power system in response to concern over power shortage.

The objective of the project is to improve the tight power situation in the Java-Bali power system. The project consists of building a new gas-fired combined cycle power plant (capacity: 225 MW) in the Muara Tawar power station near Jakarta. The project is due to be completed in 2011.
