Project Outline:
The objective of the project is to expand and improve higher education and strengthen research activities in engineering, by relocating the engineering faculty of Hasanuddin University to the new campus in Gowa District, South Sulawesi Province. The project consists of constructing educational and research facilities, installing equipment and materials for teaching and research activities, and sending lecturers to Japan for study. The project will thus help strengthen human resource development and improve research capacity in the field of engineering. The project also has a component of developing the Center of Technology to promote coordination among the engineering faculty, industrial sector, other universities and local government and community, thereby contributing to the industrial development in Eastern Indonesia. The construction of facilities is due to be completed in 2012.
