1. Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Olahraga, Sains dan Teknologi Jepang (Monbukagakusho) menawarkan beasiswa kepada siswa-siswi Indonesia lulusan Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkat Atas (SLTA) untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke Universitas (S-1); College of Technology (D-3); atau Professional Training School (D-2) di Jepang mulai tahun akademi 2004 (April 2004).

  Syarat-syarat pengambilan formulir bagi calon pelamar sebagai berikut:
(1) Usia dibawah 22 tahun pada tanggal 1 April 2004.
(2) Nilai UAN dan rapor kelas 3 semester/cawu terakhir minimal rata-rata 8,0 untuk program S-1; 7,7 untuk program D-3; dan 7,2 untuk program D-2.

2. Keterangan lebih lanjut mengenai program beasiswa ini dan formulir pendaftaran dapat diperoleh di Kedutaan Besar Jepang (Bagian Pendidikan), Konsulat Jenderal Jepang di Surabaya, Medan dan Makassar. Formulir ini akan diberikan secara gratis kepada mereka yang memenuhi kedua persyaratan tersebut di atas mulai 12 Mei 2003 sampai 20 Juni 2003.
  Formulir harus diserahkan kembali kepada Kedutaan Besar Jepang atau Konsulat Jenderal Jepang paling lambat 2 hari setelah pengambilan formulir.

SCHOLARSHIP OF JAPANESE GOVERNMENT (MONBUKAGAKUSHO SCHOLARSHIP)
FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES 　

1. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan offers the scholarship to Indonesian high school graduates who wish to study at University (S-1); College of Technology (D-3); or Professional Training School (D-2) in Japan from the academic year 2004 (April 2004).

Qualification for the application are among others as follows:
(1) Applicants must be less than 22 years of age as of April1, 2004.
(2) The average result of the final examination (UAN) and school report for the last semester/term of the third scholastic year must be, at the minimum;
    8.0 for the applicants who are interested in to take the S-1 program,
    7.7 for applicants who are interested in to take the D-3 program,
    7.2 for applicants who are interested in to take the D-2 program.

2. Further information on this scholarship program and the application form is available at the Embassy of Japan (Education Section), the Consulate General of Japan in Surabaya, Medan and Makassar. Application form is given freely only for those who meet the above qualifications from May 12th, 2003 until June 20th, 2003.
  The application must be submitted to the Embassy or the Consulate General of Japan within 2 days after receipt.
