Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso sends Message to Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda Regarding the Disastrous Landslide in North Sulawesi

1. H.E. Mr. Taro Aso, Foreign Minister of Japan, sends a message of sympathy and condolences to H.E. Mr. Hassan Wirajuda, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Indonesia, regarding the recent disaster of landslide in Manado, the province of North Sulawesi which took the lives of lots of people. In the message, Foreign Minister Aso also wishes an early recovery of the victims and rehabilitation of the affected areas.

2. The landslide disaster occurred incessantly from 12 up to 21 February 2006. According to the local news, up to this moment it has taken 47 lives, while on 21 February already 30 lives were lost.
