Jakarta, May 28, 2006     On 28 May, Prime Minister of Japan Junichiro Koizumi extends his message of sympathy to the President of Republic of Indonesia H.E. Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono expressing his condolences over the losses of many lives caused by the earthquake that struck Yogyakarta and Central Jawa on 27 May. The Prime Minister also stated in the message that Japan would spare no effort to provide the maximum assistance, hoping that the suffering of the affected people will be alleviated and the situation will be restored as soon as possible.     Foreign Minister Taro Aso also sends the same kind of message to the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Dr. Hassan Wirajuda. |
