1. The Completion Ceremony of the fly over construction at Raya Bogor is held on February 16, which is financed by the Japan ODA loan, “Urban Arterial Roads Improvement in Metropolitan and Large Cities Project”.

2. In many part of Jakarta urban area, chronic traffic congestion is becoming serious because of insufficient road capacity compared to increasingly heavy traffic and also due to incomplete road network. The chronic traffic congestion is affecting distribution and transportation seriously, and hampering economic development in Indonesia. The main point of the problem is that the number of cars has already exceeded the capacity of intersections on arterial roads in Jakarta urban area.

3. Japan has provided ODA loan for the construction of fly-overs at 6 intersections (Cikokol; loan amount 230 million yen, Suprapto; loan amount 900 million yen, Pramuka; loan amount 870 million yen, Raya Bogor; loan amount 750 million yen, Tanjung Barat; loan amount 580 million yen, Bekasi; loan amount 390 million yen) in order to mitigate traffic congestion.

4. Cikokol fly-over, Tanjung Barat fly-over and Bekasi fly-over are already completed last year.
