Jakarta, 29 Maret 2007 Japanese Government Scholarship Students to Japan

77 Indonesian students are leaving for Japan on April 2, 2007 to continue their studies in various fields as Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship Students.
The batch consists of 39 research students of the graduate level; 10 Undergraduate (S-1) students; 14 College of Technology (D-3) students; 14 Professional Training College (D-2) students..
The Japanese Government Scholarship Students are provided with a monthly stipend and round-trip tickets to Japan and are exempted from school fees. The number of Indonesian students who were studying at universities in Japan on May 1, 2006 was 1,553, of which 659 were Japanese Government Scholarship Students.
At the farewell party held on March 29, Minister Satoh of the Embassy of Japan said in his address that, “Each of you is an excellent student who has won a stiff competition and will represent Indonesia. I hope that you are conscious and proud of that and study hard.”
The Embassy of Japan starts receiving applications from March 30, 2007 for the research students of the graduate level who will leave for Japan in April or October 2008 (Tel: 021-3192-4308, website: http://www.id.emb-japan.go.jp).
The Embassy will also start receiving applications from the end of May 2007 for the Undergraduate Program (S-1), College of Technology Program (D-3) and Professional Training College Program (D-2) for the year of 2008.
