One hundred Indonesian high school students will visit Japan from 1 to 10 July under Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths Programme (JENESYS) as a part of commemorative programmes of the Golden Year of Friendship 2008, Indonesia and Japan. Departure Ceremony for the students attended by Ambassador of Japan Kojiro Shiojiri will be held on June 30, 2008.
Their activities in Japan include orientation in Tokyo, stay in Mie, Kyoto, Okinawa or Hokkaido Prefecture where students will join study and other activities in the local high schools, home-stay at the Japanese family etc. in order to promote friendship between the Japanese high school students and the Japanese people in general. The students will also visit environmental, scientific, industrial and cultural places.
